Alzheimers Awareness

Today,
I visited my nan. She asked me who I was on more than several occasions. I repeatedly let
her know I was her grand-daughter. Her face glowed up each time overwhelmed to see me. Unaware of how many times she had asked the same question I answered it each time like it
was the first.
Today,

I visited my nan. She asked me where I lived
on more than several occasions. I repeatedly
let her know I lived near by. Her face glowed
up each time overwhelmed to hear that I was closer than she thought. Unaware of how
many times she had asked the same question
I answered it each time like it was the first.

Today,

I visited my nan. she asked me how i’d been on more than several occasions. I repeatedly let
her know Ive been doing well. Her face glowed
up each time overwhelmed to hear that I was well and healthy. Unaware of how many times she had asked the same question I answered it each time like it was the first.
Today,

I visited my nan. Even though I knew she’d ask me the same questions several times and she’d still glow up with each answer I gave her. I was convinced she wouldn’t ask me again remembering what i’d previously said. For that one moment her memory was replenished, that one moment reminded me this isn’t her fault.. Its Alzheimers.

AW14 - Hot!Mess

This post is purely dedicated to Hot!MeSSI was very excited to see their new line 'We are all mad here' finally up and running for AW14 on the 6th October. As I followed this seasons lookbook I knew Founder and designer Tayla-Blue had excelled herself once again. After reading the new post on their blogTayla explains where her inspiration comes from and more. Here's what she had to say..

above:founder and designer Tayla-Blue

AW14 NAME-
"The name for the line spiralled from one of the inspirations behind the AW14 theme, Alice In wonderland. ‘We’re all mad here’ is a famous quote from the film, and the collection IS completely MAD so I thought it fits well."

PRINT NAMES-
"The print names normally reflect the print so well its hard not to know what it is, for example our AW14 lip print was called ‘DON’T GET LIPPY’. I just like them! They give the prints a bit of a character!"

FAVOURITE PIECE-
"I would have to say the DA REEFA velvet leotard! I fell in love with it when I first saw it! It looks so sick on!! I'm not normally a leotard kinda gal but I will definitely be rocking it with some high waisted jeans this season!"

WHAT'S TO COME-
"Lots of surprises.. but if I told you, it wouldn't be a surprise would it? HOWEVER you should definitely look out for the new brand that’s on our website! It’s a new brand created and designed by me. It reaches an older audience, it’s more simplistic! But it’s amazing. You’ll love it!

- Okay so I assume you'll be wondering what this new brand is? It's called BAZIIC. The collection features minimal, clean cut, simplistic garments designed for the basic (but not so basic) people. purchase exclusively from www.hot-mess.co.uk

I'm going to start with two of the lookbook images that caught my eye and made me really intrigued as to what was being offered to us this season from HotMess, modelled by the beautiful Tammy Dexter.

- firstly, wearing the DA REEFA leotard (£40) Tammy shows off the garments funky pattern. I love this design as the contrast between 2 simple colours bouncewell off each other. The pattern isn't to busy either which is always a good thing, so you know what you're looking at.

- secondly, wearing MILEY PRINTED TEE (£30). This oversized tee is so edgy and the pattern really does remind me of Miley Cyrus with her sassy vibe. This could easily be worn with a pair of slim ripped jeans or even with black undershorts and white wedges.

                - My top 3 picks of AW14 -

        #1 - BLACK VELVET LEOTARD (£40).

        #2 - MILEY EMBROIDED CROP (£38).

#3 - BLACK PANELLED VELVET LEGGING (£40)

HotMess is by far one of my favourite websites. The clothes are really edgy and they have their own aesthetic look whether it's patterns of letters, toys or random bits and bobs the design work into these garments are fresh and quirky. Please go and buy from their website it's so worth the price!

Also includes men wear.

Style Stalker: Guide from Guys

It has been an interesting year for men's fashion, after seeing several seasons dominated by sharp suites and slick tailoring, it felt like a breath of fresh air to see guys adapt a more laid-back approach to fashion throughout SS14. Slouchy loungewear garments have been given a stylish transformation with the use of colours and added accessories. Looking for style inspiration? look no further than here and how this guy has managed to stay super stylish.

- I will be introducing you guys to Ndubuisi Jaylon Akabogu. He's 19 and currently waiting to start a Law Degree in September at Sussex University under a scholarship. Jaylon hopes to become a solicitor or lawyer once he completes his degree.
- Friend Azeez Kazzim is 18 and currently waiting to go into his second year of college in September, Studying for a Level 3 Foundation Diploma in fashion. Please check out his official fashion page https://twitter.com/Highendfashn. The bio will link you to the official Tumblr and Instagram also.

Street Style:

Despite the heat Jaylon(Right) and Azeez(left) in the picture below rock the covered casual look and wear black jeans, oversized Tee's and what better way to finish off a look than with some almighty sneakers. Both outfits consist of block, simple and contrasting colours.

- Jaylon wears;
Ripped Jeans - Zara
Reeboks Shaqnosis - End Clothing
Oversized Shirt - ASOS
Panel Cap  - ASOS
Pullover Jacket - British Heart Foundation Charity Shop

- Azeez wears;
Represent T-shirt - Represent Clothing
Black jeans - H&M
Black Air Force 1's - JD Sports
Police Bag - Police
Bandana - Street Market

Get The

Denim is a material that makes any piece of clothing look effortlessly stylish, whether it be a jacket or skinny pair of jeans, team it with an oversized Tee, or a simple white jumper it's perfect for casual weekends. Jaylon styles his jeans perfectly here.

- Jaylon wears;
Jeans - H&M
White Tee - Long Clothing
Jacket - Rokit
Adidas Originals Roundhouse Mid Trainers- ASOS
Ring - Space Invaders Vintage

Camouflage Craze:

Maintaining a great balance between street wear whilst still looking high end I love his look as he paired off his camouflage designed converses with his stylish bucket hat. Wearing block colours between patterns really does help the design stand out. I think Jaylon's colour co-ordination has been perfected here as his jacket contrasts so well with the white T and denim jeans. Outfit on point.

- Jaylon wears;
Converses - Base
Skater Fit T-shirt - ASOS
Jeans - H&M
Jacket - Top man
Penguin Bucket Hat - Unknown

Lets Talk FBloggers.

Blogging about fashion and all it's different styles has totally transformed the fashion world - the way we think about interpreting a trend and creating our own unique look has taught us how to shop and fbloggers have become a huge influence to where that is, from high street wear to high end fashion.

So I thought no better way to honour them, than post about them. I will only be featuring my top three style bloggers, however I'm sure there will be more posts to come about other style bloggers whilst discovering such a diverse range of stylish guru's throughout my search as I carry on looking.

FBlogger #1 - StitchesOfStyle (Age 18)
Fashion & Beauty Blogger Sophie, is someone who has a huge impact on where I would buy my clothes from and what companies I would purchase items from. This is due to the fact she styles her clothes so beautifully with great colour co-ordinations, funky patterns and her style says 'festival chick' so well and she pulls off the high street styles. Sophie's blog is aesthetically pleasing with short paragraphs explaining her outfits, it's a quick read and keeps you wanting to see more outfits she can put together perfectly.

- Sophie is currently waiting to start an Art Foundation Diploma course at UAL in September, hoping to build a strong portfolio to then complete a degree in Fashion Marketing.
Good luck girl. xo

FBlogger #2 - MeganCawe (Age 16)
Fashion & Lifestyle Blogger Megan has a very formal and sophisticated style, with the use of bright coloured blazers, sharp outfits and pastel skirts and blouses her style very much reminds me of the 60's. One of the main reasons Megan has been picked as one of my top three favourite bloggers at the moment is purely for the fact her outfits are very graceful and simplistic, I adore block colours and Megan really does show a clear indication as to why. She wears the clothes so elegantly. Her use of jewellery is minimal which I really like as I don't tend to wear much myself. Her open toe heels are also very cute and adds summer vibes to her outfits.

- Megan is currently waiting to start at The London Fashion Retail Academy in September, Whilst frequently keeping up to date with her FBlog.
All the best M, your dedication to fashion is acknowledged. xo

FBlogger #3 - ThatPommieGirl
Fashion Blogger Sarah is my third and final pick and I guess you aren't surprised why. Sarah's style is so quirky and cute I just can't get enough of her stylish ways. Her outfits vary from formal to casual, I'd say her style is quite versatile. Sarah is very much a trend setter in my books, with a fabulous blog and beautiful pictures it doesn't surprise me that her posts are so popular. She's very much a high street fashion girl, proving this with her recent post with a gorgeous summer jumpsuit from Primark. (shown in the 1st image below) Nothing beats a bargain right girls?..

- Unfortunately Sarah wasn't able to get back to me, however I'm sure she's a very busy girl at the moment whist modelling for certain companies and updating her blog each day.
Hope everything goes well for you in the future. xo

Fashion Thoughts.

So recently, I have been really inspired by fashion bloggers and become more involved with my love for fashion. To bring awareness to this I have decided to start one of my own blogs because I have noticed that my crazy obsession to reblog constantly on Tumblr has become a naughty addiction that I need to move away from. So I thought it would be a great idea to involve myself in a sassy community full of fashion guru's and start a Fashion Blog that would be dedicated to fashion, trends and bloggers of my choice.
